Geography, History and Religious Studies Teachers
We are looking to appoint qualified teachers of Humanities – Geography, History and Religious Studies – to work at high achieving schools with excellent resources and support. The roles will involve teaching your specialist subject to A level and other humanities to GCSE on a smaller timetable. This is an exciting opportunity to work in academic environments with students who are highly motivated.
Responsibilities
- Planning, delivering and marking lessons.
- Giving constructive and guided feedback to students both written and verbally.
- Summative and formative assessment, guiding progress through marking and feedback.
- Attending departmental meetings and communicating effectively with parents.
- Encouraged to share best practice within and beyond the department.
- Lead extracurricular enrichment activities to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Successful candidates should hold a PGCE with a relevant bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Education or the international equivalent.
- Hold an up-to-date DBS certificate.
- Possess an excellent subject knowledge.
- Have excellent knowledge of the British Curriculum.
- Maintain exceptional classroom practice.
- Work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.
Payment scale advertised is based upon the teacher pay scale from M1 to M6. Actual pay is based upon relevant teaching experience.
