Histopathology Quality Admin Assistant

An exciting opportunity for a motivated and well‑organised individual to join our highly skilled Histopathology team. The role is based in the Histopathology Department and involves delivering a high‑quality service with patients at the centre of everything we do.

Main Duties

  • Perform departmental audits and raise non‑conformances via the QMS
  • Assist in the preparation of the quality report for the Quality and Governance meeting
  • Generate outstanding work lists and manage samples referred to external laboratories
  • Follow departmental policies to ensure maintenance of quality standards
  • Monitor the audit schedule and work with the Section Manager and Quality Lead to plan the audit schedule
  • Data entry for trend analysis and assist the Section Lead to identify trends
  • Data entry of EQA results and document non‑conformances on the QMS

Qualifications

  • A levels/NVQ3 in biology or equivalent experience
  • IT Qualification

Experience

  • 1 year experience in NHS Histopathology Laboratory
  • LIMS experience
  • QMS experience
  • Trend analysis experience

Knowledge

  • ISO 15189 knowledge
  • Audit knowledge
  • Knowledge of IT systems

Skills

  • Prioritisation of workload
  • Collation of reports

£28,392 to £31,157 a year pro rata, per annum
