Role Summary
Site Assistant responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of school premises, focusing on grounds maintenance. Working with the Premises Manager and staff to ensure the site is clean, fit for purpose, secure, and compliant with legislation and industry best practice. 32 hours per week, flexible hours with potential later finishes during school holidays and events, including some weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide caretaking services to facilitate effective teaching and learning.
- Prevent health risks within the Academy.
- Help maintain the fabric of the Academy’s buildings and site.
- Carry out general repairs and maintenance.
- Hold key holder responsibilities including opening/closing the site and alarm call‑out response.
- Prepare classrooms and teaching areas for students and teachers.
