Childrens Residential Support Worker

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Children Residential Support Worker (RSW) based in Stockton-on-Tees, England. You will join our Care Academy for a 4‑week induction and then support young people with social, emotional and mental health needs to create positive outcomes in a care home environment.

Key attributes and requirements

• A ‘can do’ attitude – a team player who rolls up their sleeves to help others

• Resilience to deal with challenging situations
• A full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months
• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent). If you do not have this, we will pay for you to study and support you every step of the way.

What you’ll do

• Support young people day to day, ensuring they are ready for school, helping with homework and completing paperwork.
• Plan and facilitate activities, including evenings and weekends such as gaming, football, film days, or go‑karting.
• Create lasting memories and provide consistent care, recognising the importance of the smallest positive changes.

• Base salary: £29,034 – £35,400 per year (up to £38,560 with good attendance and 1–2 sleep‑ins per month).
