Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and professional Science Technician to support our Science Department. This is a part‑time role of 22.5 hours per week, term time plus 1 week, working across Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities
Work with young people and support the Science Department by assisting teachers, conducting practical sessions, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Collaborate with other Technicians and Science Teachers to deliver engaging science education.
Qualifications
Experience working with young people is desirable. An interest in Chemistry, Biology or Physics is required. Prior experience in a science teaching/technical role is not essential, as full training will be provided.
Working Hours & Salary
Contract: Permanent, part‑time. Grade: H4 (Basic salary £25,989 to £27,254 per annum plus annual outer fringe allowance of £729). Hours: 22.5 hours per week across Monday to Friday, term time plus 1 week. Actual Salary: £13,897 to £14,555 per annum inclusive of fringe.
