We are currently looking for a Counter Sales Assistant to join our team at Branch. This role is hands‑on, placing you at the heart of the action – helping customers, handling products, and keeping everything running smoothly.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver excellent face‑to‑face and telephone customer service.
- Assist customers with sales, enquiries, and product advice.
- Process transactions accurately for both account and cash sales.
- Keep shelves replenished and stock well presented.
- Pick and prepare orders for collection or delivery.
- Help unload supplier vehicles and check goods received.
- Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping.
- Assist with stock control, including regular stock takes.
- Support merchandising and store layout when required.
What we’re looking for:
- A positive attitude and commitment to great customer service.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Previous experience in retail, builders’ merchants, or a trade counter environment is an advantage — but not essential.

Hours of work: An average of 40.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 7.30 am – 4.30 pm, plus every other Saturday morning from 8.00 am until 12.00 pm.
