Job Details

  • Title: Senior Occupational Therapist
  • Starting Salary: £42,839 per annum, potential to progress to £47,181 per annum + £1,000 welcome payment, lease car & relocation (terms apply), prorated for part time
  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Location: Hertfordshire
  • Contract Types: Permanent, Fixed Term (to 31 January 2027) or Secondment Opportunities
  • Directorate: Adult Care Services

About the Role

  • Work collaboratively with other partners and teams within Adult Care Services
  • Develop innovative support plans
  • Promote and support a strength‑based assessment and practice approach to maximise independence, health and wellbeing and reduce the need for Adult Social Care
  • Work creatively with residents to ensure their safety and independence
  • Raise awareness in the area and develop valuable links for the team
  • Support other Therapists and Community Care Officers
  • Provide information and advice to enable an individual to participate safely in daily life, including grading of tasks and adapting environments
  • Specialise in an area such as Moving and Handling, BiA, AMP or Occupational Therapy practice education

About You

Essential

  • HCPC Registered Occupational Therapist
  • Full driving licence and regular access to a vehicle
  • At least two years post‑qualifying experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Knowledge and experience in the social care sector
  • Experience completing assessments and making recommendations
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Care Act 2014
  • Knowledge of Mental Capacity Act 2005
