Job Information

Salary £36,363 – £46,142 per annum. Permanent, Full Time, 37 hours per week. Locations: Burnley, Pendle, Accrington. Family Safeguarding – Lancashire County Council Children’s Services.

About The Role

Apply as an experienced Children’s Social Worker to join our Family Safeguarding Teams. You will work within a multi‑disciplinary team, delivering intervention to children and families, and hold core Child in Need and Child Protection work, using a Motivational Interviewing approach.

Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a multi‑agency team to protect children and support families.
  • Provide evidence‑based intervention and counselling to children and parents.
  • Collaborate with domestic abuse, mental health, and child and family practitioners.
  • Maintain accurate case records and produce statutory reports.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and participate in the Social Work Academy.

Qualifications

  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • Experience in child protection, family safeguarding or a related field.
  • Good communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
