Primary Teaching Assistant – Horsham – Temporary Contract

A mainstream primary school in Horsham is welcoming applications for their Primary Teaching Assistant vacancy. This is a fantastic opportunity with a well-run establishment, with lots of experienced staff to learn from.

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will be working with children in Horsham who require additional support with reading and writing and breaking down tasks to make them more manageable.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside teachers, therapists and other support staff
• Ensure that equipment and facilities are safe for the children to use
• Prepare activities and tidy away after sessions
• Develop an understanding with a child to maintain an optimal learning environment
• Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and accurately

Requirements / Qualifications

• A caring, compassionate and resilient nature
• A ‘can-do’ attitude but also being proactive rather than always waiting for direction
• You will require a DBS check (which we can support you with)
• You must not be barred from working with children
