Repair Technician (Electrical Bias) – Middleton, England

Company: Kinetic Industrial (Recruitment Consultant) on behalf of a global supplier of safety components and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, troubleshoot, repair and refurbish industrial electronic equipment.
• Diagnose faults down to component and board level.
• Set up and test electronic systems and devices.
• Operate a range of test equipment accurately and confidently.
• Repair or replace components such as diodes, resistors, capacitors and integrated circuits.
• Solder and desolder to a high standard.
• Record and interpret test data to assess condition and determine next steps.
• Read and understand technical manuals, diagrams and schematics.
• Maintain stock and inventory of parts.
• Attend training workshops to support ongoing development.
• Identify improvements to internal processes.
• Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and correctly.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Electronic Technician or Electrical Repair Technician.
• Ability to interpret electronic schematics and product drawings.
• Electronics qualifications are beneficial, but practical experience is acceptable.
• Strong English skills (spoken, written, reading) required for health and safety.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office.

Practical Information

• Salary: £28,000 – £32,000 DOE.
• Working hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30 am – 3:30 pm, Friday 7:30 am – 1:30 pm.
