The Governors of Clowne Junior School are looking to appoint a Specialist Teaching and Learning Assistant in September 2026. The post is fixed term but may be extended if additional funding is secured.
Role Overview
The role involves working under the direction and guidance of class teachers to supervise and provide support for children with complex needs, enabling them to learn independently and in group situations. In addition to general Teaching Assistant duties, the role will also involve supporting children over the lunch period. Pupil needs will determine which year groups the role will be allotted to.
Qualifications and Attributes
The successful candidate will be positive, flexible, and able to respond to the needs of our children. They should have a good level of communication, English, and maths skills, and experience working with primary age children.
