Logistics Administrator (Contract)

Location: Ellesmere Port, England, North West (CH65)

Job Type: Contract (6–12 months)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: £13.50 – £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily delivery schedule to meet service levels
  • Liaise with 3rd‑party transport providers, ensuring on‑time deliveries and invoice approval
  • Maintain optimum customer service levels with haulage providers
  • Generate and collate daily collection documentation
  • Update all customer delivery details in the system and inform colleagues or hauliers of any special requirements
  • Book in customer deliveries both orally and via customer portals
  • Send confirmation emails to hauliers to confirm loads for the following day and associated rates
  • Administer stock reservation processes in Microsoft D365

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum of one year of previous administration experience in a fast‑paced FMCG environment
  • Previous experience dealing with high volumes of goods dispatched in a similar setting
  • Minimum of five GCSEs A–C including Maths and English, or equivalent qualification
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to work accurately and quickly
  • Well‑organised with the ability to respond promptly to targets and deadlines
