Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join the award‑winning team at Elstree View Care Home in Hertfordshire. The role supports residents by delivering high‑standard personal care within a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Support and work alongside the Care Team to deliver high standards of personal care.
- Monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be aware of any changes that impact care plans, and update written records accordingly.
- Participate in person‑centred care planning, implement and monitor plans, and conduct monthly evaluations.
- Assist residents with medication requirements.
- Undertake staff supervision and support staff development where required.
- Act as a key point of contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals; address reasonable requests and escalation of concerns or complaints.
Qualifications & Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar care environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Responsive and flexible, able to cover a range of responsibilities.
- DBS Disclosure check (cost covered by Avery Healthcare).
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
