Teaching Assistant – SEND School, St Helens (WA9)
Flexible Start Options. Full-Time and Part-Time Roles.
Pay: From £14 per hour.
Start Date: ASAP or flexible for Summer or September 2026.
Positions: Full-Time & Part-Time.
Make a Difference in an Inclusive SEND Setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND across Key Stages.
- Support children with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties, and communication needs.
- Collaborate with teachers and the SENDCo to deliver tailored learning plans and interventions.
- Use creative, sensory, and play-based strategies to engage pupils.
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence.
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and external professionals.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children in schools, SEND settings, or youth work.
- Patient, adaptable, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children’s learning.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative team player.
- Committed to safeguarding and inclusion.
- Must provide professional references and either hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS check.
