Trainee Field Technician

Job Overview

We are recruiting for a number of Field Technicians who will be based across the Southwest region. This full‑time role works Monday to Friday with flexible working hours and involves assisting in leak detection activities across a water distribution network.

Responsibilities

• Record acoustic sound files across the water distribution network using supplied digital equipment.
• Work independently within urban and suburban environments.
• Adhere to performance indicators set by the client.
• Liaise with supervisors and work to achieve targets.
• Perform a manual job that may involve lifting, stretching, bending; experience of driving long hours is beneficial.

Qualifications & Skills

• Full UK clean driving licence.
• Experience with long‑haul driving is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using supplied technology and digital equipment.
• Self‑motivated with a keen eye for detail, strong customer service orientation and teamwork.
• Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Water Hygiene, Street Works and Manual Handling accreditation (full training will be provided).
