AA Euro Group has been retained by its client to recruit Welders (TIG & MMA) for the Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station Project, providing an opportunity to contribute to the construction of the UK’s first third-generation nuclear power plant.

Responsibilities
- Perform welding operations to the required quality standard.
- Perform basic pre-work welding equipment checks.
- Control welding consumables after issue.
- Maintain awareness of the required welding acceptance standards.
- Manage and control welding fumes for self and others.
- Weld high-integrity piping and structural steel.
Qualifications
- Proficient with Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) and Manual Metal Arc (MMA) welding processes.
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Thermal, or Nuclear sectors.
- Previous experience welding Super-Duplex Stainless Steel (desirable).
- Previous experience welding Carbon Steel, Low-Alloy Steel, and Austenitic Stainless Steel (essential).
- Recognised welding apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- BTEC/C&G/EAL/SEGS/ECITB Welding & Fabrication Level 2 (or Level 3) or equivalent experience.
- Appropriate ISO 9606-1 welder qualifications.
- CCNSG Safety Passport.
- Satisfactory completion of ECITB Skills Test prior to deployment at Hinkley Point C.
- Knowledge of key welding processes (TIG & MMA); previous orbital TIG welding is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of NDE methods (MT, PT, RT & UT) and how deviations affect performance.
Pay and Benefits
- Basic rate: £29.34/hr for the first 38 hours/week.
- Overtime rate A: £41.08/hr after 38 hours/week, from Friday morning until midday Saturday.
- Overtime rate B: £52.82/hr from midday Saturday to Sunday at 12pm.
- Accommodation allowance: £53.39 per shift / £373.73/week (tax-free).
- Travel allowance.
- Milestone bonus up to 10%.
