What You’ll Be Doing

As a Modern Apprentice Technician, you’ll support our Formulation & Analytical Development teams by helping keep our labs running safely, smoothly, and efficiently. You’ll learn how to:

  • Assist scientists preparing batches and conducting analytical work
  • Perform daily lab checks and equipment calibration
  • Maintain lab organisation, stock levels, and documentation
  • Communicate with cross‑site teams including Logistics and Warehouse
  • Follow quality and safety procedures aligned with industry standards

This role is hands‑on, varied, and ideal for someone excited by science or problem‑solving.

You will earn while you learn through a recognised Scottish apprenticeship provider (e.g., Glasgow Clyde College, City of Glasgow College, UWS), gaining a qualification in a science or laboratory subject.

You’ll also receive in‑house training on:

  • Analytical and formulation equipment
  • COSHH and risk assessments
  • Health, Safety & Quality systems
  • Inventory management and ordering processes

By the end of the programme, you’ll be skilled, confident, and ready to consider a long‑term career in science or pharmaceuticals.
