Transport Operator – Milton Keynes – Up to £34,000

Our client, who are a recognized transport company, are looking for an experienced Transport Planner to join their team in Milton Keynes.

As Transport Planner, you will be experienced in dealing with General Haulage and routing company-owned vehicles UK-wide.

Job type: Permanent

Hours: 4 on, 4 off – Days

Salary: Up to £34,000

Responsibilities

• Route company-owned vehicles
• Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
• Plan routes in line with Working Time Directive (WTD) and Drivers Hours
• Ensure all customers are kept up to date
• Complete all necessary administration
• Work with the Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
• Perform and implement general administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, and queries in accordance with the company19s requirements

Requirements

• Extensive transport route planning skills for a UK-based transport company
• General haulage experience
• Excellent geographical knowledge
• Strong communication skills
