Temporary Teaching Assistant Level 2 supporting in Maths and English
Outwood Academy City, Sheffield
Required From: September 2026
FTE: £25,583 to £25,989
Salary: OGATGrade 3 NJC 5 – 6 £20,175.56 – £20,495.75 (Actual Salary)
Post: 34 hours per week, 39 weeks per year
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for a caseload of students inside and outside the classroom during structured or unstructured time.
- Deliver intervention programmes to individuals and small groups, preparing relevant and appropriate learning experiences in conjunction with department staff, with a key focus on emotional literacy and social skills.
- Track and monitor student life‑skill targets and/or EHCP outcomes, discussing progress with parents and agreeing new targets or EHCP outcomes at Interim Reviews.
- Assess students’ needs and use detailed knowledge and specialist skills to support their educational progress and attainment, preparing them for adulthood.
Qualifications
Must have both English and Maths Grade C/4 or above GCSE or equivalent.
