Responsibilities

Provide communication support for deaf and hard of hearing students at Richmond College. Ensure students are supported in class and are able to gain maximum access to the curriculum. Promote awareness of the support services within the college and encourage awareness of the needs of deaf and hard of hearing learners among staff and students.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum qualification: British Sign Language Level 3. Possess good signing skills and experience working with deaf and/or hard of hearing people, ideally in an educational environment. Good team working skills and a flexible approach to meeting the needs of all students are required.

Additional Details

Support 36 hours per week, term time only for 39 weeks per academic year. For individuals who start after 1 September, the salary will be pro‑rated from the start date to the end of the academic year (31 August 2026).
