Job Title – Traffic Management Operative
Location: Colchester, Lowestoft, Southwald, Ipswich, Halesworth
Shifts: Days, nights, weekends; 12‑day schedule; 40–48 hours per week.
About the Role
As a 12d Traffic Management Operative you will:
- Conduct traffic counts and communicate with clients and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintain temporary traffic lights for safe and efficient traffic flow.
- Deploy, install, maintain and remove temporary traffic management equipment such as cones, signs, frames, sandbags, and other essential items.
- Mentor new trainees and share knowledge.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum M1/M2; consideration for SLG Unit 2.
- Knowledge of Chapter 8 regulations.
- Full driving licence with no more than 6 points. Driving bans must have expired at least 5 years ago.
- Pass a drug and alcohol test.
- Positive, can‑do attitude; adaptable, flexible, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Willingness to work weekends, nights and away when required.
