QTS Primary Teacher

Qualified Primary Teacher (QTS) – Full‑time, part‑time, or day‑to‑day supply opportunities available in Derbyshire and South Derbyshire.

The Role

As a Primary Teacher you will deliver high‑quality education and create an engaging learning environment where pupils feel supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their potential.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress.
• Differentiation to meet the needs of all learners.
• Support children with a range of abilities, including SEND pupils.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and positively.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
• Contribute to the wider school community where required.
• Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
• Allocate responsibilities appropriate to the role type – supply roles may involve delivering pre‑planned lessons; long‑term positions may include full planning, preparation, and assessment duties.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
• Experience teaching within Primary Schools.
• Confidence teaching EYFS, KS1, KS2, or across multiple key stages.
• Passion for making a positive impact on children’s learning and development.
• Flexibility, reliability, and adaptability to different school environments.
• Strong communication skills and excellent classroom management.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children.
