About the role
- Teach across a range of Beauty Therapy programmes, delivering high‑quality teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Undertake course leadership responsibilities within Beauty Therapy and carry out associated administrative duties as directed by the Head of Salon Studies.
- Support the effective management and administration of the Beauty Therapy curriculum.
- Provide guidance and support to students with assessment planning, subject delivery, and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Monitor and maintain the quality and standards of students’ work in line with awarding body requirements and College expectations.
- Contribute to marketing, recruitment, and publicity activities, including promotional events and open days where required.
- Adhere to and actively promote the College’s policies and practices relating to Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, Health and Safety.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment that promotes student success and wellbeing.
Essential Experience
- Experience of working in the Beauty Therapy industry.
- Experience of teaching, training and assessing to groups of learners.
- An understanding of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe learning environment.
- An awareness of the importance of Equality & Diversity.
Essential Qualifications
- Good level of general education including a minimum of GCSE grades 9-4 in Maths and English or equivalent.
- Level 3 Qualification in beauty therapy including electrical treatments.
- Assessors award or equivalent.
- Certificate in Education or equivalent, or the willingness to obtain one in post.
