Job: Cover Supervisor Secondary School Classes. Salary range: £100-£120 per day. Location: Pontypridd. Sector: Secondary Schools. We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Cover Supervisors to join our team, working in Secondary schools in the Pontypridd area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to support the learning and development of students, while gaining valuable experience in a classroom environment.

What is required

  • A UK degree or working towards one
  • Experience working with young people (experience in education is desirable but not essential)
  • Strong classroom/people management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
  • A confident, adaptable, and proactive approach to work
  • A commitment to supporting students’ learning and well‑being
  • A valid DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
  • Ensure a positive learning environment is maintained by managing student behaviour
  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans, ensuring students stay on task and complete the work provided
  • Provide support to students where needed and manage classroom resources
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure the smooth running of the school day
