Position: Learning Support Assistant (Ref: SBMAT324)

Contract: Fixed Term, Term Time Only

Grade: 2 / Spine Point 2-3

Salary: £24,413-£24,796 (FTE)

Actual Salary: £9,932-£10,088

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (44.85 paid)

Required to start: As soon as possible

Role purpose

The Trustees are seeking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant. The successful candidate must relate well to children on a 1:1 basis and support their individual and collective learning needs, including during break times. The Learning Support Assistant will provide high quality care and support to enable children to realise their academic potential. The role requires clear communication with children and adults, and safeguarding and wellbeing of children must be actively promoted.

Responsibilities

  • Relate well to children on a 1:1 basis and support their learning needs.
  • Provide high quality care and support to enable children to realise their academic potential.
  • Communicate effectively with children and adults.
  • Adhere to the terms and conditions of working within a school and participate in safeguarding and wellbeing of children.

Qualifications and experience

  • A Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification would be desirable.
  • Experience with SEND curriculum and classroom based work is essential.
