Position Overview

Support Officer – Lanark Local Office

Location: Lanark Local Office

Hours: 21 hours per week, fixed term up to 3 months

Work Pattern: to be discussed at interview

Salary: £20,081 – £20,639 per year

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a wide range of services to homeless households.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Similar experience of working in a housing support service with clients in vulnerable or distressed situations.
  • Understanding of current issues and legislation related to protection of children and vulnerable adults.
  • Practical knowledge of IT packages including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.
  • Commitment to further training and qualifications as required by the Scottish Social Services Council.
