Multi Skilled Engineering Technician

We are looking for proactive Multi Skilled Engineering Technicians to join our client’s engineering team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment following recent investment and upgrades.

Staffline is recruiting Multi Skilled Engineering Technicians in Market Drayton.

The rate of pay is £57,289 per annum, plus a £5,000 signing‑on bonus once you have passed probation.

Overtime is available and is paid at time and a half.

This is a full‑time permanent role working rotating shifts, and the hours of work are:

• 7am to 7pm
• 7pm to 7am

Your Time at Work

• Carrying out planned, preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Diagnosing faults efficiently and completing repairs to minimise downtime.
• Supporting production by maintaining machinery, utilities and site services to required performance and safety standards.
• Completing maintenance records accurately and updating job information in the maintenance system.
• Assisting with installations, modifications, commissioning and improvement projects.
• Working collaboratively with production, quality and engineering teams to identify root causes and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensuring all activities are carried out in line with health and safety procedures, risk assessments and permit‑to‑work requirements.
• Supporting contractor management and ensuring work areas are kept safe, organised and compliant.

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience in a multi‑skilled fast‑paced engineering or maintenance role within manufacturing, production or industrial environments.
• Apprentice trained with proven experience of working on fast‑moving machinery, pumps, valves and PLCs.
• Strong fault‑finding.
• Possess good knowledge in the areas of filling and process technology.
• Strong problem‑solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Good knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques.
• Team building skills and strong ability to work cross‑functionally.
