Dunstall Primary School is seeking a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team. This is a permanent role based in Nursery, and therefore Nursery/EYFS experience is essential.
This rewarding role involves working closely with class teachers to support our pupils learning, making a real difference in their school experience.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 11.30am – 3.30pm
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities
- Assist pupils with learning, ensuring they reach their full potential
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support with the preparation of resources and classroom management
- Contribute to pupil wellbeing and pastoral support
- The role will also involve providing intimate care
- Work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience working with children in Nursery / EYFS
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with children
- A patient, resilient, and nurturing approach
- Willingness to carry out intimate care duties
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent)
