Female* Specialist Care Support Worker
Location: WinchesterService: Specialist Care
Shifts Available:
- Sunday morning (07:00 to 14:00)
- Additional hours available on a bank basis.
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Female Support Worker to join our Specialist Care team in Winchester.
In this rewarding role, you will provide person‑centred care to a young adult with complex needs, supporting them to lead independent, fulfilling, and meaningful lives.

Please note: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

About the Role
A rewarding role supporting an adult woman living independently in her own bungalow with 24‑hour 2:1 support. She enjoys an active and engaging routine, including puzzles, games, walks, outings, and her favourite films and TV shows. She has a close relationship with her family and benefits from reassurance and positive redirection. This role would suit someone patient, proactive, and enthusiastic, who can provide meaningful engagement and create a positive, supportive environment.
No two days are the same – your role will include:
- Supporting with personal care and daily living tasks
- Assisting with cooking, cleaning, and household duties
- Supporting attendance at appointments and community activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing
- Supporting hobbies and interests (e.g. cooking, arts & crafts, music, gaming, dancing)
- Working with individuals with autism, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and complex care needs
- Using positive behaviour support and de‑escalation techniques
- Working in environments where pets (including dogs) may be present
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in supporting individuals with complex needs
- Calm, resilient, and confident in challenging situations
- Passionate about person‑centred care
- Supportive of independence and personal development
- Willing to learn and develop professionally
- Comfortable working in homes with pets
- A full UK driving licence holder (essential)
