Senior Housing Care Worker

Overview

Trust Housing Association has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Care & Support Worker (supporting Older People) to join our team in Pollokshaws, Glasgow City. This is a full-time, permanent role with a salary of £16.05 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Support older and vulnerable adults in their own homes.




• Mentor and supervise support staff, manage rotas, identify training needs, lead development of personal, care & support plans.




• Practical support with daily living, homecare, personal care, and promoting a positive, active and healthy lifestyle.




• Communicate effectively with another Senior Care & Support Worker on a 3-week rolling rota.

Requirements / Qualifications

• Experience in the care sector with older people or other vulnerable groups is preferred; ability to understand and meet their needs.




• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; supervisory experience.




• SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or a commitment to achieve this qualification to meet SSSC registration/timescale requirements.




• Basic IT skills.




• Previous experience is preferred but not essential; comprehensive training and support provided.
