Graduate Teaching Assistant – Aspiring Teachers – Westminster
Start Date: SeptemberContract: Full-time, Term-time onlyPay: £95-£105 per day (depending on experience)
A respected secondary school in Westminster is recruiting a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4. This position has been created for graduates who are actively considering teacher training and want sustained, high‑quality classroom experience.
You’ll work closely with teaching staff across a range of subjects, gaining exposure to daily classroom practice within a structured and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students during lessons across the secondary curriculum
- Deliver focused intervention sessions where required
- Assist staff with lesson preparation and behaviour routines
- Encourage high expectations, engagement and progress
- Observe best practice in teaching and assessment
The Ideal Candidate
- A graduate with a genuine interest in education
- Intending to apply for teacher training in the future
- Professional, proactive and reflective
- Experience with young people is advantageous but not essential
