SEN Humanities Teacher
Location: Enfield
Pay: £220 – £250 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Start: ASAP / January
Remedy Education are looking for a dedicated and motivated SEN Humanities Teacher to join a supportive SEN school catering for pupils aged 11 to 17. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about delivering engaging Humanities lessons within a nurturing, structured and inclusive environment.
The school supports students with a range of additional needs including ASD, SEMH, communication difficulties and mild to moderate learning needs. They are looking for a teacher who can deliver creative, differentiated lessons across KS3 and KS4 Humanities, and who can build strong relationships with pupils to support both academic and personal growth.
The role
- Teach Humanities across KS3 and KS4 to students aged 11-17
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs
- Work closely with support staff to ensure pupils remain engaged and supported
- Create a positive, safe and structured learning environment
- Track pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation and confidence building
- Contribute to the wider school community and pastoral support
The Ideal Candidate
- QTS or QTLS with strong subject knowledge in Humanities
- Experience working in an SEN or alternative provision setting is highly desirable
- Confident differentiating work for a range of learning abilities
- Patient, resilient and consistent in approach
- Ability to form positive relationships with pupils who may present with additional needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS
