Overview

This educational institution is seeking an energetic and creative Communications Assistant to join their high-performing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in strengthening engagement and contributing to a dynamic communications programme.

Areas | Engagement, digital and print communications, content creation

Based | Cambridge – 3 days a week

As a Communications Assistant, you will:

  • Support the development and delivery of high-quality communications (print and digital)
  • Create and manage content for websites, newsletters, and social media platforms
  • Contribute to publications, including sourcing, writing, and editing articles
  • Produce regular e-newsletters and evaluate their impact
  • Collaborate with staff, students, and other stakeholders to source engaging stories
  • Capture and promote events through digital channels
  • Analyse communication effectiveness and recommend improvements
  • Support the wider communications programme with additional duties as required

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organisational and planning abilities, with attention to detail
  • Experience in stakeholder communications (ideally in education or charities)
  • Competence with MS Office and confidence using digital platforms
  • A creative and proactive approach, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
