Role: Grounds Maintenance Operative (Estate Ranger)
Location: Barnstaple and surrounding areas
Salary: £25,432.20 annual / £13.21 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
The purpose of this role is to ensure all North Devon Homes’ residential areas are kept clean and tidy, maintaining the value of the Company’s land assets. Working as part of a team, this role undertakes a host of duties including grass cutting, shrub maintenance, hedge cutting, spraying, litter collection, and play area inspections.
Responsibilities
- Grass cutting using powered mowers and strimmers.
- Hedge cutting using powered hedge cutters.
- Weeding and pruning of shrub beds.
- Litter picking.
Qualifications
- Looking to work for a supportive company delivering valuable services to the local community.
- Experience working outdoors.
- Understanding and working knowledge of health & safety principles.
- Ability to work well in a team environment, be comfortable working independently, and be supportive of others.
- Hold a full driver’s licence.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Basic DBS check.
