Head of AI and Optimisation

About the role

Based between London and Cambridge, this hybrid opportunity (3 days per week) focuses on the development of disruptive technologies for HPC, AI/ML technologies for real‑time imaging.

We are looking for someone to develop algorithms to optimise metaheuristic optimisation and to develop and test code.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise algorithms for metaheuristic optimisation.
• Develop and test code.
• Apply AI/ML techniques.
• Build and maintain cloud‑based data pipelines for large‑scale test data processing for data centres.

Qualifications

• Good relevant degree or PhD.
• Proficiency in algorithm software development using Python, C++ or C#.
• Passion for AI with up‑to‑date knowledge of current approaches and industry trends.
• Experience in metaheuristic optimisation.
• Experience with AI/ML techniques.
• Exposure to cloud‑based data pipelines for large‑scale data processing.

The successful candidate could be a fresh PhD graduate or someone with extensive experience. We offer a wide salary band, so please apply if you have any experience in metaheuristic optimisation or AI‑lead experience. This role can flex between the two.
