Role: Consequences Coordinator
Academy: Outwood Academy Acklam
Start Date: 01/09/2026
Salary: £21,956–£22,304 (Grade 3)
Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time plus five school days.
The Consequences Coordinator will manage the consequences provision, ensuring a structured environment where students can reflect, progress with their work and overcome barriers to achieve their potential. The role requires a firm yet compassionate approach to managing behaviour interventions and supporting students in developing better learning habits.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate support provision for students requiring behavioural intervention, primarily through the management of the Consequences Room.
- Contact parents in a timely manner to communicate behaviour, consequences or exclusions.
- Arrange, organise and supervise appropriate work and specific skills development with individual students.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, education welfare and the police regarding confidential and complex issues.
- Maintain the Consequences Room environment and record all C4 and C5 behaviour incidents onto the MIS system.
Qualifications
- Willingness and ability to enhance qualifications and training in the post.
- Effective communication with a wide range of audiences and respect for confidentiality.
- Excellent time‑management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Empathy for students and awareness of child safeguarding issues.
- Desirable experience working in a school environment.
