An established, globally integrated law firm is seeking an experienced Risk Lawyer to join its London-based Risk & Compliance function. This is a key advisory role within a high-performing team that operates across multiple jurisdictions, supporting lawyers and leadership on complex regulatory and professional conduct matters.

The successful candidate will play a visible role across the firm, working closely with partners and senior stakeholders while contributing to a culture of strong governance, commercial awareness, and pragmatic risk management.

The Role

Reporting into senior risk leadership, you will act as a trusted adviser on a wide range of legal and regulatory issues affecting the firm’s operations in the UK and internationally. This is a broad and hands-on position offering exposure to cross-border work and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, practical advice on professional conduct, regulatory requirements, and risk-related matters across the firm
  • Support the ongoing development and implementation of risk frameworks, policies, and internal procedures
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks
  • Review and update engagement terms, client documentation, and internal guidance materials

About You

  • Qualified lawyer (UK or equivalent) with approximately 2-3 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE)
  • Experience in a risk, compliance, or regulatory role within a US or international law firm
  • Strong understanding of legal regulatory frameworks and professional conduct obligations
  • Commercially aware, with a pragmatic and solutions-focused approach
