Our client are a leading civil and structural engineering consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering innovative, efficient, and sustainable design solutions across the UK. With continued growth in their Leeds office, we’re looking for a talented Civil Engineer to join their expanding team and contribute to a wide portfolio of projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and public-sector developments.

Role

As a Civil Engineer, you will support the delivery of civil engineering design packages across all stages of a project. You’ll work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to produce practical, cost-effective engineering solutions that meet the highest technical and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare civil engineering designs, including highways, drainage, levels, and external works.
  • Produce detailed calculations, technical reports, and design drawings.
  • Work with colleagues to deliver coordinated designs across disciplines.
  • Liaise with clients, local authorities, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the management of projects from feasibility through to construction.
  • Contribute to quality assurance processes and ensure compliance with relevant standards.

About you

Essential:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience within a civil engineering consultancy environment.
  • Understanding of design software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, or similar.
  • Strong technical knowledge of highways and drainage design.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Working toward IEng/CEng with ICE.
  • Experience in client-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and current UK design standards.
