NEASUS employ approximately 75 staff across our Sunderland Vehicle workshops, Equipment and Hygiene workshops and at our new site in Blaydon.

The postholder will work across the North East region and sometimes beyond.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

Duties include:

The movement of emergency ambulances and other vehicles across the North East to ensure that they are in the right place at the right time

Light repairs to vehicles such as headlight bulb/wiper blade changes or the lubrication of components such as side-steps

Checking and cleaning vehicles as required

The successful candidate must have a C1 entitlement on their driving license. A driver CPC would be advantageous.

  • Fleet Fitting & Equipment – Vehicles equipped according to regulatory and clinical best practice to perform a specific care response.

Person specification

  • Experience in driving.
  • To be able to use and understand Mobile devices.
  • Computer Literate
  • Experience of undertaking minor vehicle repairs.
  • Experience of driving as part of a fleet.

Knowledge/Education

  • Road Traffic Law (Highway Code)
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation.

Skills and behaviours

  • Enthusiastic and amenable.
  • Patient with customers and good telephone manner
  • Ability to use own initiative and manage own workload.

Other

  • Full manual driving licence, to include category C1.
