1:1 Teaching Assistant (KS2/KS3) (20 hours per week)

St Peter’s Preparatory School, Lympstone is seeking a dedicated, proactive and compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide tailored 1:1 support for a pupil with identified special educational needs as they access the KS2/KS3 curriculum and wider school life.
A Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) or suitable experience of working 1:1 with children who have additional needs, specifically communication, interaction, concentration and attention difficulties is essential. You will play a key role in planning, preparing and delivering an individualised programme of support in line with the pupil’s Education Health Care Plan (EHCP), contributing to assessment and record‑keeping, and promoting independence, wellbeing and progress.
This is a term-time only position, working 20 hours per week (including INSET days): Monday to Friday, 08:45-13:00 (with a 15-minute unpaid break each day). The position is linked to external funding. A similar, separately funded part-time opportunity is also available (details can be found on the school website), and applications from candidates interested in undertaking both roles are welcome.
