We have an exciting opportunity for a pharmacist with a passion for working within elderly care to join our clinical pharmacy team at University Hospitals Sussex as the lead pharmacist for Elderly Care at Worthing and St Richards Hospital.
As a senior member of the pharmacy team, you will be an integral part of the department and help support and promote our pharmacy and clinical strategies.
The Trust holds research as one of its key pillars, you will have the opportunity to be involved with and develop skills in this area.
You will have delegated responsibility for all our elderly care wards and supervision of the team within your rotations.

To have delegated responsibility for leading the provision of a specialist clinical pharmacy service to elderly care patients; admissions, inpatients and discharges within the Trust.
- Will provide an expert level of clinical pharmacy services to elderly care (including acute frailty if required) across Worthing and St Richards Hospitals as part of UHSussex NHS Foundation Trust
- Will lead specialist clinical pharmacy practice for acute frailty and elderly care and be responsible for the delivery, development, evaluation and co-ordination of clinical pharmacy services to Elderly Care in line with the objectives of the division and the UHSussex pharmacy strategy in collaboration with any cross site counterparts
- Is responsible for all aspects of medicines management to optimise patient’s care involving the use of medication in elderly care
