Responsibilities

• Perform advanced laparoscopic surgery in gynaecology as part of the Consultant Endometriosis Team.
• Participate in the regular endometriosis MDT meetings and joint operating lists with colorectal and urological surgeons.
• Contribute to the development of new pathways and support senior management in shaping the future strategy of the gynaecology service within a specialist tertiary centre.
• Take part in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes; a demonstrable interest in education would be an advantage and an honorary clinical lectureship may be offered by the University of Liverpool.
• Commit to on‑call duties approximately 1 in 11 for gynaecology (obstetrics only in exceptional emergencies) and support the two‑tier gynaecology rota.

Qualifications and Experience

Relevant clinical experience and qualifications in gynaecology and advanced laparoscopic surgery; experience in teaching and a demonstrable interest in education is advantageous.
