Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Legal Contracts Manager located in the London Area, United Kingdom, with flexibility to work remotely at times. The Legal Contracts Manager will draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a wide range of legal agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and institutional policies. The role involves managing risk, providing guidance on contractual terms, maintaining records, and collaborating with colleagues across the university to facilitate legal processes. The successful candidate will also contribute to policy improvements and support training initiatives on legal and contractual matters.
Qualifications
- Strong legal expertise in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and agreements
- Knowledge of compliance, regulatory requirements, and risk management in the higher education or public sector
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly convey legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
- Understanding of intellectual property, data protection, and confidentiality issues
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and fostering collaborative working relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in Law or equivalent relevant experience; legal qualification is highly desirable
- Proficiency with legal technology tools and document management systems is advantageous
