An exciting opportunity has arisen within NTW Solutions Ltd, for the role of Maintenance Assistant. The suitable candidate will have previous maintenance experience, preferably within a healthcare environment, and sound written and verbal communication skills.

This vacancy will be based at the Hopewood Park and will also cover the surrounding community premises.

Main duties of the job

The Maintenance Assistant’s role will require working within a multi‑disciplinary team undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical plant, equipment and services, as well as grounds and gardens.

A flexible approach and an ability to undertake works associated with other trades is required. The role involves driving between sites as and when required.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Pay: £26,499 per annum (or £13.55 per hour). There is potential to earn more, with enhancements offered for weekend work and on‑call duties.

Person specification

Experience

  • Previous experience working in building, mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Experience in the operation, service and repair of relevant types of plant and equipment

Skills & Knowledge

  • Demonstrated good understanding of health and safety
  • Meet the mobility requirements of the role

Education

  • NVQ Level 1 in an appropriate engineering, building or construction environment (Diploma)
  • GCSE or equivalent to include Maths and English is desirable
