With the office in Munich, it forms the Life 1 division of Munich Re. The UK life market is one of the, if not the, most competitive life markets in the world. About the role
The purpose of this role is primarily to ensure successful delivery of assigned projects within UK Life Branch (UKLB) through applying flexible project management methodologies to ensure projects are delivered in a collaborative and adaptable way. This may include both commercial and non-commercial projects and the opportunity to get involved in other initiatives within UKLB as well as LH1 projects and initiatives where the team can add value.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, or provide project management support for, material projects throughout the project lifecycle
- Adapt project management methodology to fit the needs of the project
- Balance the needs of multiple projects
- Ensure effective project control, change control and risk management are maintained
- Influence and contribute to branch-wide communication on projects
- Support delivery of core strategic projects and propositions, in partnership with business and IT stakeholders.
- Provide project management mentoring to stakeholders and project teams, particularly where not directly managing projects
- Leverage expertise in project management, facilitation, independent challenge, and process efficiency to address emerging business needs

Key Skills & Experience
- Proven track record in project management, preferably in the financial services industry
- Capable of working in an agile business environment
- Desirable – some Project Support Office/Project Management Office experience
- Excellent persuasive and communication skills suitable for interacting with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including Senior Management

Regulatory & Conduct Requirements
In addition to the responsibilities set out above, the Project Manager will also become responsible for ensuring compliance with Munich Re’s Code of Conduct and the FCA Conduct Rules.
