Job Title – Land-Based Technician

Salary – up to £25,000Location – NorthamptonshireContract Type – Permanent

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated Land‑Based professional to join a quality team and support the delivery of practical learning experiences, helping to inspire the next generation of learners.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of practical learning activities across a range of land‑based courses
  • Maintain and prepare workshops, equipment, tools, machinery, and resources for teaching and learning activities
  • Ensure land‑based facilities, grounds, and practical learning environments are maintained to a high standard
  • Assist learners and teaching staff during practical sessions, providing technical guidance and support where appropriate
  • Contribute to the maintenance, servicing, and safe operation of land‑based machinery and equipment
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance across all practical areas
  • Support stock control, ordering of materials, and resource management within the department
  • Work collaboratively with a dynamic team to create an engaging and supportive learning environment
  • Develop relationships with local employers and industry partners to support student learning, work placements, and industry engagement

Essential Requirements

  • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Agriculture, Horticulture, Countryside Management, Land‑Based Engineering, or a related subject
  • Extensive industry experience within a land‑based environment
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures relating to land‑based operations and equipment
  • A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (desirable)
