Our client, a leading global financial institution, is building a brand-new AI-driven trading and market infrastructure platform and is hiring experienced Python backend engineers to join a newly formed R&D engineering team in London.
This is a greenfield opportunity focused on designing and building scalable, low-latency systems from the ground up across real-time trading infrastructure, analytics, and market data services.

The technology stack includes Python, FastAPI, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, AsyncIO, gRPC, WebSockets, Celery, Terraform, Prometheus, and Grafana.
They are looking for engineers with strong experience building distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and production-grade backend platforms within high-performance environments.
Experience within investment banking, electronic trading, fintech, or low-latency systems is highly desirable.
