About the role
The Headteacher and Governors of Granard Primary School and Cedar ASD Base are seeking to appoint an experienced, self‑motivated and inspiring SEND Teaching Assistant to work in our special needs base for children and young people with learning difficulties, Autism and/or complex needs. The job includes supporting the Teacher with the development and education of our pupils in the class.
Key responsibilities
- Support the Teacher in the development and education of pupils with learning difficulties, Autism and/or complex needs.
- Be a role model and challenge and inspire children through high expectations in work and behaviour.
- Promote effective speech and language and make learning fun.
- Engage children in the classroom and outside environment in a proactive and creative manner.
Qualifications and experience
- English and Maths GCSE grade A-C, or equivalent, is essential.
- Experience working in a school setting with children and young people with complex needs.
- Evidence of qualifications to be presented at interview.
