What you will do
- Assist the team manager and social work team with developing and leading family support interventions for children under statutory plans, ensuring efficient service with SMART plans in alignment with statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with Social Workers and other Family Support Workers in Community Social Work and Family Intervention teams, using specialised knowledge to enhance service delivery through effective care packages.
- Lead the development of parenting programmes and interventions for Children and Families to broaden our services and ensure timely intervention within statutory timescales.
- Coordinate and deliver tailored support services and interventions for families, children, and young people, providing advice and promoting positive practices.
- Support the service manager in identifying service needs and developing interventions that meet demand alongside statutory timelines.
- Manage a mixed caseload, collaborating with social workers on Child Protection cases and independently handling Child in Need and advisory cases.
- Develop and deliver direct work tools and interventions for children and young people, focusing on those at risk, including exploited children.
- Conduct Return Home Interviews and ensure effective feedback mechanisms are in place.
- Advocate for children and families at multi‑agency meetings to secure appropriate support packages.
- Maintain precise and timely case records and contribute to comprehensive family assessments.
- Lead community and outreach programmes to keep young people engaged and safe.
- Represent the team at professional meetings, advocating for user needs, and preparing detailed reports.
