CNC & Machine Shop Setter Operator

Job Description: CNC & Machine Shop Setter Operator (Full Time 39 hours per week) (Temporary) with Solid Swivel Company Ltd, Cradley Heath.

Established in 1910, the Company has a long history of manufacturing quality engineered products in the Midlands and is a renowned local employer.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Programming, setting and operating CNC milling machines and lathes for safe operation.
• Setting up and safe operation of conventional drilling, milling, turning, threading and other machining processes.
• Checking components against Engineering Drawings and/or work instructions after machining.
• Undertaking training as required for the role.
• General setting & operating of conventional drilling, milling, turning, threading processes.

Equipment:

• XYZ Lathes (XYZ Controller)
• Mazak VMC – 4 axis (Mazatrol Controller)
• Leadwell VMC – 4 axis (Mitsubishi Controller)
• CAD/CAM applications & software

Fork Lift Truck Driving Hourly Rate: Dependent upon knowledge and experience.

36 days holiday per year.
